Mosquitoes can kill over a million people a year. In some hot countries, a mosquito caries a deadly illness called malaria. It is estimated that between 1 and 2 million people die every year.
Almost ninety percent of the malaria death cases occures in Sub Sahara Afrrica. Malaria is transmitted naturally by the bite of the female mosquito. When a mosquito bites an infected person, a small amount of blood is taken, which contains malaria parasites and transmitted to another biten person.
